Mikyö Black-Wangmo lives their life in devotion to holding and tending grief medicine as a pathway to freedom and Essence. The wild lands of the Red Willow peoples in Northern New Mexico, also known as Taos, are their beloved home. They are a Grief and Empathy Counselor, Bodyworker, certified Teacher of Qigong, Yoga, Massage, and Meditation, and founder of Subrosa Santo.
As a facilitator of healing, depth of presence is the foundation of all their work. It is through holding space in connection with the Elements, Ancestors, and their spiritual lineages that they bring embodied presence in service to freedom and empowerment.
Their positionality as a queer, 2 spirit, indigenous PoC, and transracial adoptee allows them the privilege to exist and work outside of and beyond the systems of oppression we all live in and are affected by. Mikyö is dedicated to becoming more and more joyfully alive and free in service to love and life, and in supporting others to do the same.
