About me

I’m a food writer and recipe developer. And I write about the things that have impacted me the most.

As a (re)former “domesticated” woman, I’ve rejected my body for a good portion of my life, and have been completely disconnected from it. During my intent to heal this relationship (even if I didn’t fully understand at the time what I was doing), I started learning and cooking around my Metabolism & Hormones.

Along the way, I learnt about the system I was a part of by stumbling upon the work of psychologists and historians. Books on Colonial History and particularly the Witch Trials, and I understood (partly) the macro that impacted our collective. Before this came the belief that I was just a product of my microenvironment, my own biography.

This helped me see the patterns that govern my way of thinking and acting, how it shapes my perception of my body, my place in society, how I look at my family, and even how I use my kitchen space.

So a part of my work (in progress, takes time to write with a full-time job) is about Rituals and Non-Linearity, where I look for meaning in mundane activities like cooking. A non-linear topic in itself that holds space for nuance
