Women in Big Data Bay Area
The Bay Area Chapter of Women in Big Data (WiBD) is where our global movement began in 2015. What started with 15 visionary members in San Francisco has become the cornerstone of a worldwide community advancing women in data and AI careers. As the founding chapter, we've helped shape WiBD's evolution from a grassroots initiative to a thriving non-profit organization that now spans six continents.
Our current co-directors for the chapter are Bhakti Hinduja and Anat Zohar
Our Bay Area community remains at the forefront of innovation, leveraging Silicon Valley's unique ecosystem to create tangible opportunities for women in big data and AI. We focus on unlocking potential through mentorship, professional development, and strategic partnerships with leading tech companies in our region. From hosting cutting-edge technical workshops to facilitating meaningful connections with industry leaders, we're committed to advancing diversity in the data science field.
As the original WiBD chapter, we continue to champion our core mission: inspiring the next generation of data leaders, connecting talented professionals, and empowering equity allies of any gender. We recognize that big data and AI are transforming every industry, and we believe that diverse perspectives—particularly from women practitioners and leaders—are crucial to shaping an equitable and innovative future in technology.
Join our dynamic Bay Area community and be part of a movement that's redefining the future of big data and AI, one connection at a time
