Tara Maguire

Tara is the Movement and Michael Chekhov teacher at Actors Studio Stockholm. She trained as a Michael Chekhov teacher at MCIA Berlin with Jörg Andrees and is currently deepening her training in teaching and acting at NMCA in the USA with Lisa Dalton and Will Kilroy. A Drama Centre London graduate, Tara brings over 25 years of professional stage and screen experience and 12 years of teaching into every class and workshop.

Her passion for theatre and film is both personal and expansive—she believes these art forms hold transformative power to awaken empathy, ignite imagination, and inspire deep connection within ourselves and with each other. Teaching is, for Tara, a dynamic creative exchange: an opportunity to empower others, encourage boldness and play, and witness artists of all backgrounds break through to new levels of freedom and presence.

At the heart of Tara’s work is her vision for a new culture of artistry: healthy artists creating healthy art, shaping a healthier, more vibrant world. Her core values are authenticity, courage, curiosity, generosity, and care for self and others.
