Tacoma Urban League Guild
The Tacoma Urban League Guild is a volunteer auxiliary collective that targets adults ages 41+ and up to empower their communities and change lives through the pillars of the Urban League Movement:
1. Jobs and economic empowerment
2. Education and youth development
3. Health and quality of life
4. Housing and community development
5. Justice, and civic engagement
Guild volunteers – aka “Guilders” – are the heart and soul of the Urban League movement, contributing thousands of volunteer hours each year and fulfilling a pivotal role in connecting the Urban League’s mission to the communities we serve. Guild members act as tutors and mentors, helping community members develop leadership skills and engage them in the issues that shape their lives. Also, Guilders raise funds for Urban League affiliates and act as goodwill community ambassadors for the Urban League affiliate movement. Join the movement today!
