RIBA International

The RIBA is a global professional membership body driving excellence in architecture, with more than 42,000 members worldwide.

We offer support for members based or wanting to work overseas, with four global regions - Americas, Europe, Middle East & Africa, and Asia & Australasia - and 11 established International Chapters serving local communities of architects across the world and hosting regular events and activities.

We promote our members internationally through a strong presence at international conferences and events and through initiatives such as our International Prize and Awards.

We work with international institutes of architects and international architectural organisations - such as the Architects Council of Europe (ACE), the Commonwealth Association of Architects (CAA) and the International Union of Architects (UIA) – to develop collaborative projects, support global networking, promote design excellence in architecture and create greater mobility within the profession.

We also work with other partner organisations, such as the Department of International Trade (DIT), British Expertise International and China-Britain Business Council (CBBC), to arrange activities such as trade visits, networking receptions and one-to-one business matchmaking appointments.
