Quakers Walk Project
Quakers Walk Community Biodiversity Group are the volunteer team behind the Quakers Walk Project.
We are a growing community group working to enhance the biodiversity of the areas surrounding a once new build housing development, adjacent to the ancient Quakers Walk footpath in Devizes, Wiltshire.
There are many different areas on our site, including:
a wildflower meadow in development
grassland
wildflower patches
pollinator beds
a habitat showcase
miniature orchard
and an edible hedgerow for wildlife.
The Quakers Walk Project is becoming a haven for wildlife. It’s a place to wander or to sit and enjoy the green space that is so good for our mental health. The project is also a showcase for the small changes you can make at home which all add up to make a contribution to the global climate emergency on our doorstep.
