ABOUT US - MH Services & Training

MH Services & Training has a clinical focus on the delivery of mental health support for individuals, work groups or entire organisations.

Our approach targets Prevention (Training), Workplace Support, and Individual Supervision / Counselling.

We are proudly Brisbane-based and operate out of our West End where our Clinic has operated since 2018, and you can locate our training facilities.

We partner with you to to focus the mental health needs of your team, via Prevention, Support and Supervision services. Your team will be engaged by our training practitioners and specialised clinicians, with a focus on evidence/research-based practice.

Director and Clinical Lead, Leigh Fraser-Gray founded MH Services & Training to support individuals and their organisations on the journey to better, more purposeful mental health.

WHY THE FOCUS ON MHFA?

Most people are familiar with the idea of physical first aid courses that teach the skills and knowledge required to recognise and respond to life-threatening emergencies and provide a first aid response across a range of different situations.

Mental Health First Aid training adopts a similar approach. Using a practical, skills-based action plan, participants learn the skills to recognise and respond to someone experiencing a mental health problem or mental health crisis, until professional help is received or the crisis resolves.

Individuals who complete Mental Health First Aid training are known as MHFAiders and attain a 3 year accreditation.

Equipped with the skills to listen, connect, and offer support when it matters most, MHFAiders play a vital role in reducing stigma and promoting pathways to support for those experiencing mental health problems in our workplaces, communities, schools, and tertiary institutions.
