Honley Village Community Trust CIO
Honley Village Community Trust is a community-based charity located in Honley Village, a small town in West Yorkshire, England.
Back in 1993, a group of Honley residents got together to chat about how the village and local area could be improved. After several meetings they decided to make things official and adopted a constitution, which marked the beginning of Honley Village Community Trust!
The Honley Village Community Trust is a charity with the main objective to promote the conservation, protection, and improvement of Honley Village and its surrounding environment. We're a non-political and non-sectarian organisation, and all about educating the public on environmental matters, and providing facilities for leisure time and recreation, all with the aim of making life better for Honley residents.
The Trust's main objective is to promote community development, cultural activities, and social welfare in the village. The charity works towards improving the quality of life of residents by providing support and opportunities for community members to come together, share their skills and knowledge, and contribute to the development of the village. Honley Village Community Trust also drives initiatives related to environmental conservation, heritage preservation, and local economic development.
The trust is run by a board of trustees who are all volunteers, and its activities are supported by a team of dedicated volunteers. The trust relies on funding from grants, donations, and fundraising events to carry out its work.
