GFS Mile End
The Girls' Friendly Society (GFS) Mile End
We are part of GFS a charitable organisation that empowers girls and young women aged 5 to 25.
GFS Mile End is a safe space for girls and women. Our all-women team of volunteers living or working in Tower Hamlets run the group. They are from different backgrounds, skills, interests and different stages of their careers. Representation is important to us, and we want our girls to see themselves in our leaders.
"Our mission is to support and inspire girls and young women. We will create spaces where they feel safe and valued so that they can build strong foundations that will prepare them for life’s challenges."
GFS Mile End groups are a fun space for girls to develop new skills, experiences and connections in their local community.
GFS Mile End group is available to all local girls in Primary School years 1 - 6, weekly on Saturdays from 10.30 am to 12.00 pm at the Bede Community Centre (9 Bede Square, Joseph Street, Bow, E3 4GY). The group is term time only, and the first session is always free for all girls.
