The Explorers Club is a multidisciplinary, professional society founded in 1904 in New York, dedicated to the advancement of field research, scientific exploration and resource conservation. Iconic honorary members have included Theodore Roosevelt, Edmund Hillary and Neil Armstrong, later joined by Jane Goodall, Robert Ballard, Sylvia Earle, among many others.

Expanding World is a Portuguese company specialized in impact marketing and event production for world-wide clients such as Mercedes, Web Summit, the Portuguese Space Agency, Madame Tussauds New York, European Le Mans Series, the Tourism of Portugal, CNN and UEFA.

The eco-responsible event preserves the pledge signed in the first edition with the Lisbon Declaration, where the club’s members and international officials committed to an effort to inspire the world to protect our planet, animal species and natural resources, and accelerate the sharing of scientific knowledge.
