Denton Black Film Festival Institute
Storytelling is the core of any culture. At the Denton Black Film Festival, we share stories of the Black community - it's traditions, ideas, and experiences - in a multitude of ways. Each festival, held annually in January, features Black cinema, music. art, spoken word, comedy, food, and fashion. It's our way of bringing the Black experience to life.
Focusing on creatives of color, who are often underrepresented on and behind the screen, the Denton Black Film Festival Institute aims to foster the growth of emerging and established media artists. The Institute offers resources and opportunities for professional connections and development with the purpose of supporting creative community building.
