Afghan Support Network
Afghan Support Network (ASN) is a culturally specific, community-based nonprofit organization headquartered in Beaverton, Oregon. Established in 2021, ASN serves Afghan refugees, immigrants, and Afghan-American families across the Greater Portland Metro area, Oregon & SW Washington.
ASN provides comprehensive, wraparound services through four core departments: Education & Youth Development, Employment & Workforce Development, Legal & Immigration Navigation, and Community Engagement & Advancement. Services include housing navigation, healthcare enrollment (OHP), immigration legal support, early learning, youth mentorship and afterschool programming, Driver-Ed, workforce training and certification pathways, and culturally grounded community events.
Operating from its 6,100 sq. ft. Afghan-Home community center, ASN delivers trauma-informed, multilingual services in Dari/Farsi, Pashto, and English. Since its founding, ASN has served over 1,900 households and delivered more than 34,000 services in 2025 alone, advancing stability, economic mobility, and long-term integration for refugee and immigrant families in Oregon.
Through its Employment & Workforce Development initiatives, ASN has facilitated more than 120 job placements, generating over $3 million in earned income for community members. Rather than remaining reliant on social safety net systems, these individuals are now contributing to state and federal tax bases, strengthening Oregon’s workforce, and actively participating in the economic vitality and civic life of our region.
