Overview

3 DAY RETREAT of Yoga & Ceramics - Expression through movement and art

Introduction

Join us for a soulful 3-day retreat led by the mother/daughter duo, Inês & Fernanda, rooted in the theme of expression through movement and art. This retreat invites you to soften expectations, release pressure around form, and rediscover joy in the act of creating.

Together, these practices create space to slow down, reconnect, and explore creativity from a grounded, intuitive place, free from pressure and rich in presence. A nourishing pause to move, make, and simply be.

Expression through movement and art

Yoga and ceramics are the heart of this retreat, offering complementary practices that invite presence, creativity, and connection. No prior experience is required for either yoga or clay work, this is about enjoying the process and engaging fully with your creativity.

Through mindful yoga, Inês guides a gentle connection between body, breath, and mind, encouraging free bodily expression rather than perfect postures. The practice becomes a space to listen inwardly, move intuitively, and allow the mind to rest and soften. Sessions will focus on expressive movement through Vinyasa, embodied yoga, and moving meditation, offering a space to explore the flow of the body and the rhythm of breath.

Fernanda will lead an introductory ceramics workshop, where some basic hand-building techniques will be covered, such as the coil technique and the slab technique. We will model one or more pieces and decorate them using techniques like decals, low or high relief, and slip painting. All pieces created in the workshop will be fired and glazed afterward and delivered on a date to be arranged. The focus shifts from making a “perfect” piece to enjoying the process of shaping, experimenting, and expressing (no experience needed, only openness).
