About this event

This 45-minutes workshop is designed to help creatives of all ages overcome the fear of the blank page. Whether you’re just starting or returning to your creative practice, many artists hesitate to begin out of fear — of wasting materials, making mistakes, or not meeting expectations. In this session, we guide you through the process of letting go: embracing experimentation, playing with color, shape, and different mediums, and understanding that failure is part of creating. The goal is to reconnect with the joy of expression and help you find your personal rhythm on paper — free from pressure or perfection. All materials are provided.

Program

  1. Welcome & Introduction (5 min) A short talk to introduce the theme of the session — letting go of creative pressure, fear of mistakes, and the myth of the “perfect start.” We set the tone for open exploration and reframe what it means to make “good” art.
  2. Material Exploration (10 min) Participants are invited to experiment freely with the available materials — feeling their textures, testing their possibilities, and noticing how different mediums behave. This stage is about curiosity.
  3. Prompted Creative Flow (20 min) Through a series of guided prompts, we explore the shift from naturalistic form to expressive gesture. Participants are encouraged to move from observation to abstraction, allowing instinct and emotion to guide their hand. This is the heart of the workshop — where mistakes are welcomed, and self-expression takes the lead.
  4. Open Creation Time (5–7 min) A moment to follow your own thread. Continue what emerged during the prompts or start something entirely new. Use this time to settle into your own rhythm.
  5. Closing Reflection (3–5 min) A gentle closing to observe what emerged — not to critique or evaluate, but to acknowledge the process. Participants can share thoughts (if they wish) and are reminded that they’re free to take their artworks home as a record of this exploration.

Notes

The participants can take their artworks home.

The materials available are subjective to availability and the artist choice, there is no garrentes that all the mediums will be used during a full session.
