This hands-on workshop invites you to slow down, feel the mechanical click of vintage keys, and explore a curated collection of meticulously restored typewriters from mid-century Europe. Whether you're an avid writer, a design lover, or simply seeking a unique creative outlet, in this 2-hour experience you will:

🌀 Try out a curated fleet of restored mid-century European typewriters: from sleek Italian Olivettis and reliable Swiss Hermes models to sturdy German

🌀 Learn how to operate, care for, and type on a typewriter, comparing the unique keystrokes, mechanics, and typefaces each machine produces

🌀 Rotate stations every 10–15 minutes to sample a wide variety of models

🌀 Write freely or use our guided prompts for inspiration, and keep your physical creations at the end (all ink ribbons, stationery, and accessories are provided)

Your Host:

Jessie is a vintage typewriter enthusiast with a PhD in Biomedical Engineering. After accidentally catching the typewriter bug, she quickly filled her apartment with hundreds of machines, hand-restoring over half of them herself. Today, she is the founder of CasaTempo, a space where she shares her restored collection and passion for mechanical writing.
