The programme begins with a visit to Engenho Novo da Calheta, where you will discover the sugarcane route, from its arrival and processing through to rum production. The visit is complete with an unforgettable rum tasting: white rum, 3-year-old rum, 6-year-old rum, Single Cask Brandy, Single Cask Madeira and Smoked Rum.

The immersive journey continues at Trapiche restaurant, where we welcome you for a lunch inspired by sugarcane and the very best of Madeiran gastronomy. With local ingredients, a contemporary approach and a strong connection to sugarcane tradition, this gastronomic experience brings together culture, authenticity and flavour at the table.
