In this special Halloween edition we receive Kokeshi Lisbon-based DJ and curator who has been an integral part of the electronic music in Portugal. As a resident DJ at Harbour Lisbon, a member of Unbound Artists, and co-founder of The Gate Kokeshi plays a key role in shaping Portugal’s club culture. Her sets have ignited the dance floors of Portugal’s top clubs including Lux, Ministerium, Industria, and Plano B, as well as major festival stages at Boom Festival, LISB-ON, Rock in Rio, NOS Alive, Sudoeste, and Neo Pop. Kokeshi is also highly sought-after in the fashion world, having performed for luxury brands such as Louis Vuitton, YSL, Armani, and Cartier. In the first part we will have Lexander, Madeiran DJ who has been present in Funchal's most iconic venues. We will also have Deep Visuals and 7heaven In, a Purple not to be missed.

Bibi Smith – Head Chef, Bb’s Afri-Carib Kitchen

Although Bibi Smith was born and raised in Mombasa, Kenya, she spent all her adult life in England , with a three-and-a-half-year period in France that profoundly shaped her cooking, where she successfully completed the Diploma in “Hotellerie et Tourisme” with La Chambre de Commerce et d’Industrie de Paris.

Mombasa’s Swahili cuisine reflects centuries of African, Indian, and Portuguese influences, while her years in France introduced her to Caribbean and Creole flavours. These experiences shaped her signature approach — blending African spice, Caribbean soul, and European balance.

It’s this fusion she hopes to share with Purple Friday´s guests — a journey that truly embodies the spirit of From the Motherland to the Islands.

Bb’s Afri-Carib Kitchen Takeover a one-night dining experience that honours the spirit of cultural exchange while adding something new, vibrant, and soulful to the culinary calendar.

Each dish celebrates colour, culture, and natural island produce, bringing warmth and storytelling to the plate.

Every Friday, it’s the special weekly electronic Sunset Social event for Digital Nomads Madeira Island, expats, visitors and locals , with the best DJs and live acts. Join us on the cliffs for the most beautiful sunset while overlooking the 1st Nomad Village at Ponta do Sol for professional networking, partying and dancing from one of the most beautiful locations on the Island.
