 This Friday we have the pleasure to receive Madd Rod. DJ , Producer and CEO of Inner Shah Recordings from Lisbon, currently living in Berlin. He played at the Portuguese edition of the Sónar festival in 2023 and has already taken his music to destinations such as Germany, Brazil, Greece, India, Spain or France, and is heard in all four corners of the world. He released his first album Dystopian Desert in 2020, and he joined Discotexas the following year. Madd Rod weaves influences from Electroclash, EBM, and the raw energy of Proto-House and Italo Disco. Retro, raw, and relentless, his sound sets the pulse for the next movement . We will also have the unique Glitch Visuals Artists and 7heaven, join us.

Madd Rod   [ PT] 

 Between beats and notes, Madd Rod embodies the curiosity brewing within Rodrigo Pinheiro. Originally from Lisbon, he is a DJ, producer, and commander of Inner Shah Recordings, defying the frontiers between electronic music genres through a simultaneously nostalgic and avant-garde approach. 

With a suitcase on his back, he has already taken his music to destinations such as Germany, Brazil, Greece, India, Spain or France, and is heard in all four corners of the world. He released his first album Dystopian Desert in 2020, closing the first chapter of his career and unlocking new opportunities: new collaborations and remixes emerged, and he joined Discotexas the following year, where he found a musical refuge beyond borders. 

Madd Rod had a prolific year in 2021, releasing new music, signing on with new labels, and collaborating with various artists. Highlights of the year include his chart-topping remix of Devran by SIS, the Shaman Call EP on Harabe, and Rumors, Madd Rod's first EP on Discotexas, where he found a musical shelter within borders. 

Living in Berlin since 2022, he [re]discovered his identity through a retrofuturistic sound that culminated in his second studio album, Sad Behaviour (2023)—a robust, punk, and intimate dive into the past with eyes on the future, that got extended via Sad Behaviour: Expanded Edition (2024). the year in which he made his first tour in India, debuted in new countries such as Brazil and Greece 

In 2023 he joined the Abrigo agency, for representation in Portugal, and played at the Portuguese edition of the Sónar festival. 

Among other highlights are his Tropicalismo Dark collaboration with Noporn (Inner Shah), After The World Collapsed (NEIN Records), Mind Invasion EP (Volition), and Jumping Jacks (Get Physical), as well as official remixes for Xinobi, Night in Athens, BURAK SIS, Jup do Bairro, Dole & Kom, Ohxala among others. This year he is set to release his 3rd studio album, titled In Constant Evolution.

  2 visions will paint special spots of the venue with amazing visuals. formed by Carla Alexa & Mário Lopes.Visual narratives/digital art/imagery/film narrative. They have presented their work in such important events and venues as Misty Fest in Lisbon, Modíssimo in Porto, Madeira Dig among many others.
