It is with great honor that we receive this Friday one of the most important names of the dance music of South Africa. Cuebur is a Music Awards nominated Music Producer, DJ and Audio Engineer for award winning albums. Mixer for Grammy award winning artists and Afro-Tech Pioneer. nominated for the South African Music Award for the best dance album, being one of the first South African artists to release with one of the biggest house music record labels in the world, Defected Records. Producing a number of hit records that topped the charts, HE played at world renowned events such as Ultra South Africa, Spring Fiesta, Oppikoppi, CTEMF, Djoon (Paris), Lomad (London) among many others. In the first part we will have the Swedish born living in Johannesburg, Shuwana, dancer, choreographer and a DJ. Shuwana has played alongside legendary names like Black Motion, Mpho Wave among others. We will also have Glitch Visuals Artists and 7Heaven In.

Every Friday we light a fire in the garden and let the wood do its work. It's simple: food made right there, on the spot, with products from the island and a hint of wood in the air. Between 6.30pm and 8:30pm, the bar next to the fire gets into the island rhythm: fresh drinks, lighter prices, and an atmosphere that invites you to linger. Every Friday, it’s the special weekly electronic Sunset Social event for Digital Nomads Madeira Island, expats, visitors and locals , with the best DJs and live acts. Join us on the cliffs for the most beautiful sunset while overlooking the 1st Nomad Village at Ponta do Sol for professional networking, partying and dancing from one of the most beautiful locations on the Island.

SHUWANA [ SE, ZA ]

Swedish born living in Johannesburg/Malmö, Joanna Holewa Chrona is a dancer, choreographer and a knwon DJ. Ever since Joanna travelled to Johannesburg as a dancer to learn the isiPantsula, she has been in love with the house music scene there, whose spiritual and positive vibes made a big impression on her. DJing is a way for her to dive deeper into the music and connect with other people. She mainly plays a mixture of Afro House and Afro Tech.

You will most likely find a selection of South African sounds during Shuwanas set. A combination of afrohouse/tech, 3 step, tribal, gqom and deep house sounds.Shuwana has played alongside legendary names like Black Motion, Mpho Wave, Thandi Draai, Cuebur. She continues her journey of spreading the love for house music from the African continent!
