No dia 17 de abril pelas 19h, a Leica Store convida-o(a) a mergulhar no universo intenso e poético da fotografia de rua com Phil Penman, um dos mais reconhecidos fotógrafos contemporâneos neste género.

Num encontro especial, em formato “talk + book signing”, Penman irá partilhar a sua visão sobre a cidade como palco de narrativas humanas, revelando histórias por detrás das imagens, processos criativos e a experiência de décadas a fotografar nas ruas de Nova Iorque e de outras grandes metrópoles do mundo. Será uma oportunidade única para ouvir, aprender e dialogar diretamente com um autor cuja obra combina intuição, ritmo urbano e uma profunda sensibilidade visual.

Este momento acontece no seguimento da inauguração da exposição “Street Scenes”, no dia 16 de abril, na nossa galeria. A mostra reúne uma seleção de imagens emblemáticas que refletem o olhar singular de Penman sobre o quotidiano urbano — instantes aparentemente fugazes transformados em composições intemporais.

A talk será seguida de uma sessão de assinatura de livros, permitindo um contacto próximo com o fotógrafo e a possibilidade de levar consigo um exemplar autografado.

On April 17 at 7 pm, Leica Store invites you to immerse yourself in the intense and poetic world of street photography with Phil Penman, one of the most recognised contemporary photographers working in this genre.

In a special talk + book signing event, Penman will share his vision of the city as a stage for human narratives, revealing the stories behind his images, his creative processes, and his decades of experience photographing the streets of New York and other major cities around the world. This is a unique opportunity to listen, learn and engage directly with an author whose work combines intuition, urban rhythm and a deep visual sensitivity.

This event follows the opening of the exhibition “Street Scenes” on April 16, on view in our gallery. The exhibition brings together a selection of emblematic images that reflect Penman’s singular perspective on everyday urban life — seemingly fleeting moments transformed into timeless compositions.

The talk will be followed by a book signing session, offering a moment of close interaction with the photographer and the opportunity to take home a signed copy.
