Rita Veloso

Was born in Porto in 1981, married and mother of two children.She completed a degree in Psychology at the University of Porto in 2004 and a Master’s degree at the same institution in 2020. She is currently a doctoral student at the University of Coruña, in the area of Information and Communication Technologies. He attended several courses in the area of management of health units and management in public administration and participated in the HOPE Exchange Program in 2016, a European exchange program for senior management.She is currently an executive member of the Board of Directors of Centro Hospitalar Universitário do Porto.In 2020, she joined the international Young Executive Leaders, an initiative of the International Hospital Federation.Member of the Health Information Management Working Group of the Portuguese Association of Hospital Administrators.Member of the Advisory Board of the NGO “Health 4 Mozambican Children and Families”, which is dedicated to supporting and promoting maternal and child health in Mozambique.Between 2018 and 2021 he was an executive member of the Board of Directors of Centro Hospitalar da Póvoa de Varzim and Vila do Conde.In 2016, she was a member of the Committee on Health Information Technologies of the Health Parliament Portugal, a European initiative.For 9 years (2009-2018) she was dedicated to managing hospital information systems implementation projects and was Service Director at IPO-PORTO.Between 2011 and 2015 she taught in the field of research methodology in the Pharmacy course at the Porto School of Health Technology.Between 2004 and 2006 she worked as Human Resources Director at the company Marnorte, being also responsible for the Health and Safety at Work area of the group’s companies whose main activity was the extraction and transformation of ornamental stones and training in the area of Social Psychology at FORPESCAS.

Patrícia Calado

Patrícia Calado is a Member of the Board at the Portuguese Agency for Clinical Research and Biomedical Innovation (AICIB). She is responsible for the international relations and funding programmes and she coordinates the team of National Contact Points (NCP) and Delegates to the area of Health of the European Union Research and Innovation Framework Programme (currently Horizon Europe).

Patrícia is national Delegate and NCP for Health since 2015, promoting Portuguese participation, giving specialist advice, taking part in strategic planning and ensuring links to nationally funded activities. She is also the Portuguese representative to several health research programmes and initiatives at EU-level. She integrates the national committee tasked with the definition of the roadmap for a national strategy for Genomic Medicine.

Patrícia has a PhD in Biomedical Sciences from the Faculty of Medical Sciences of the University of Lisbon and a degree in Biology from the Faculty of Sciences and Technology of the University of Coimbra.

Ana Londral

Ana graduated in Electrical and Computer Engineering, in Instituto Superior Técnico, and holds a PhD in Biomedical Sciences (Neurosciences) from Faculty of Medicine, University of Lisbon. She is director of Value for Health CoLAB and investigator in Comprehensive Health Research Center, Nova Medical School. She has 20 years of experience in closely working in I&D activities and product development with both companies and academia in the development of eHealth-related systems and devices. She has co-authored research publications with more than 50 national and international researchers.

Catarina Madeira

Catarina Madeira is a certified project manager (PMI©) and works as Senior Clinical Research Manager at NOVA CRU (Comprehensive Health Research Center, Nova Medical School) where has been involved in national and international clinical trials’ projects involving drugs, biologicals and medical devices. She also participates in international projects and Working Groups focused on clinical trials’ regulatory affairs, planning and implementation. She has been involved in several PhD, MSc, post-graduation programs and workshops as lecturer and her I&D work has been published in several international peer-review scientific journals.Previously as European Correspondent for Clinical Research at ECRIN, Catarina coordinated ongoing multinational clinical trials in Portugal and provided support to national clinical investigators preparing clinical studies/projects for European funding. Catarina was also actively involved in the capacity building activities of ECRIN and the Portuguese scientific partner, PtCRIN.Catarina received a BA in technological chemistry from Sciences Faculty, a MA and PhD in biotechnology from Instituto Superior Técnico, from University of Lisbon.
