Organiser of Punch Needle Beginners worshop (at Petit Chalet)Constance  is a textiles artist who loves to work with yarn from wool to fine embroidery threads. She uses traditional techniques such as punch needle/ rug hooking to make modern works of art. She is also passionate about upcycling much loved items of clothing with modern embroidery techniques.

Petit Chalet

In this 2 hour workshop you'll learn: 

<ul><li>How to thread and punch with a Lavor Punch Needle
</li><li>How to select the right yarn for your project
</li><li>How to work with monks cloth and primitive linen
</li><li>How to create different textures
</li><li>How to apply traditional techniques to create a modern wall hanging
</li></ul>You'll work on a small wall hanging (approximately 8") and gain the know-how to create more pieces on your own! The skills learned can also be used to make pillows, rugs, and more.The materials you will use are listed below. 

<ul><li>Standard size adjustable punch needle for chunky yarn
</li><li>Monks Cloth/ Primative linen
</li><li>Embroidery Hoop
</li><li>Yarn in a variety of weights and colours
</li><li>Scissors</li></ul>
