Class 1 (Camera Basics & Appertures)

Location - Lisbon - Stated on this event

• 10:30AM-1:30PM or 2:30-5:30PM
• Camera menu and controls
• Shooting modes and Exposure
• White Balance and Focus features
• Apertures, and Depth of Field
• Practical exercises

Class 2 - (Camera Basics & Shutter Speed)

Location - Lisbon - Chiado area

• 10:30AM-1:30PM or 2:30-5:30PM
• Lens choices and features
• Aperture versus Shutter speed
• White balance and Focus features
• Shutter speed and movement
• Practical exercises

Class 3 - (Landscape Thecniques)

Location - Lisbon - Parque Nações

• 10:30AM-1:30PM or 2:30-5:30PM
• Framing and composition
• Landscape camera settings
• Landscape adjustments to lighting
• Landscape filters (ND and Polarizer)
• Practical exercises

Class 4 - (Nocturnal Thecniques)

Location - Lisbon - Downtown, Rossio

• 7:30PM to 22:30PM
• Low light and stability
• Tripod versus no tripod
• Short and long Exposures
• Special effects (ghosts/lightpainting)
• Practical exercises

Module 5 - (Portrait Thecniques)

Location - Lisbon - Amália Rodrigues Garden

• 10:30AM-1:30PM or 2:30-5:30PM
• Portrait lens and camera settings
• Subject versus Background
• Posing rules and shooting angles
• Reflector and flash filling features
• Practical exercises

Important Note

• Contents and practical exercises are methodically distributed throughout the course, ensuring logical progression in understanding, deepening skills, and encouraging creativity

Required Equipment (required)

• Digital DSLR or Mirrorless Camera with manual and priority modes
• Lenses suitable for shooting at least within 18mm - 50mm range

Optional Equipment (not mandatory)

• Tripod - If you don´´´´ t have - One will be lent
• Accessories like: filters and speedlight flash

Getting to Class 1 meeting point

• Train: Rossio Station (then walk up Calçada do Carmo, turn right, and go up Rua do Alecrim to the viewpoint)
• Metro: Restauradores (then walk up Calçada da Glória) or Baixa-Chiado (then walk up Rua do Alecrim)
• Buses: 758, from Portas de Benfica to Cais do Sodré via Largo do Rato (exit right in front of the Viewpoint/Bairro Alto)
• Car: Best to park at Praça da Alegria, halfway up Avenida da Liberdade, and walk up slightly to the starting point, which is then closer to the end location.

• Each participant is responsible for their own personal and material safety, relating to their actions.
