Most approaches to spiritual life begin from the assumption that the individual self is the one who must seek, improve, attain, or become free. But in the teaching of Avatar Adi Da, the root illusion is the presumption of separateness itself. “Prior Unity” points to a reality that exists prior to the divided sense of self and other — a condition of inherent wholeness that is obscured by the mind’s constant activity of contraction, seeking, and identification.
Presented by two long-time practitioners, this 3.5-hour contemplative event introduces Adi Da’s fundamental teaching on consciousness, self-transcendence, and spiritual realisation. Through presentation, dialogue, and inquiry, the event will explore what it means to move beyond the presumption of separateness and awaken to the prior condition of unity that sets the heart free.
