Maria Fortino is a certified yoga instructor registered with Yoga Alliance who has trained and taught vinyasa flow yoga in Washington, D.C., Los Angeles, Thailand, Vietnam, Bali, Portugal, and Spain for 9 years. Currently based in Porto, Portugal, she's bringing yoga and mindfulness to kids and adults in schools, after-school programs, sports programs, studios, and her community-grown club, Porto Yoga Club. Maria received her 200-hour teacher certificate from Flow Yoga Center and kids yoga teacher certificate through YoKid...Stretch Your Limits. She also plays for the Peru Women's National Lacrosse Team, and as a former Division 1 NCAA  Stanford lacrosse player, Maria is passionate about teaching the things she has learned (and continues to learn) on and off her mat to athletes of all ages.Her intention as a yoga teacher is to create a safe space for you to explore your own path of yoga by guiding you through movements linked to breath with focus on alignment, strength building, balance, play and meditation.Maria Fortino é uma instrutora de yoga certificada e registada na Yoga Alliance, com 9 anos de experiência a ensinar e praticar vinyasa flow yoga em Washington, D.C., Los Angeles, Tailândia, Vietname, Bali, Portugal e Espanha. Atualmente baseada no Porto, Portugal, leva o yoga e a atenção plena a crianças e adultos em escolas, programas pós-escolares, programas desportivos, estúdios e no clube que criou com a sua comunidade, o Porto Yoga Club.Maria obteve o seu certificado de 200 horas de formação de professores no Flow Yoga Center e o certificado de instrutora de yoga para crianças através do programa YoKid... Stretch Your Limits. É também jogadora da Seleção Nacional de Lacrosse Feminina do Peru e, como antiga atleta universitária de lacrosse da Divisão 1 da NCAA pela Universidade de Stanford, Maria é apaixonada por ensinar — a atletas de todas as idades — tudo aquilo que aprendeu (e continua a aprender) dentro e fora do tapete.A sua intenção como professora de yoga é criar um espaço seguro onde cada pessoa possa explorar o seu próprio caminho no yoga, guiando a prática através de movimentos ligados à respiração, com foco no alinhamento, fortalecimento, equilíbrio, ludicidade e meditação.
