Porto Pianofest in Washington D.C.

The Ambassador of Portugal to the U.S. cordially invites you for an evening of music and wine presented by Porto Pianofest.

The event will take place on June 16th at 6:00pm at the Residence of the Ambassador of Portugal; and will feature the directors and friends of Porto Pianofest.

The concert will feature pianist, Nuno Marques (Porto Pianofest Artistic Director); pianist-composer, Mariel Mayz (Porto Pianofest Associate Director); and award-winning cellist, Mafalda Santos.

Porto Pianofest is an international piano festival, located in Porto, Portugal. Preparing its seventh edition, Porto Pianofest aims to bring the highest caliber of artists from around the world each Summer, performing concerts in the city's most prestigious halls.

Committed to its cultural and educational mission, Porto Pianofest brings together young pre-professional pianists and prestigious teachers who work together in masterclasses, workshops and conferences to enhance their artistry, technique and performance abilities.

"PPF in New York" was the first extension of our summer endeavors and our way to present Young Talents, friends of the festival, and bring together our international supporters in the U.S., the festival’s second home. The festival is thrilled to continue its activity with its first "PPF in Washington D.C." event this year; and "PPF in Madrid" planned for 2023.

PPF is a registered non-profit, and a joint production with Câmara Municipal do Porto. We are proud to have some of Porto's most important institutions as partners, such as Casa da Música, Universidade do Porto, Conservatório do Porto, Taylor Fladgate, and the Associação Comercial do Porto.
