VENUE Our guests stay in the Ananda Kalyani Guest House, a cosy and eco-friendly space designed for simplicity, comfort, and community living. Rooms are shared, bright, and naturally ventilated, offering a peaceful atmosphere ideal for reflection and rest. Each room includes comfortable beds, bedding, and access to shared bathrooms with hot showers.The accommodation is surrounded by nature, with mountain views, gardens, and quiet areas for reading or meditation. Guests also have access to common spaces such as the dining area, outdoor terraces, and walking trails.We encourage a simple lifestyle in harmony with nature — unplugged, calm, and supportive of spiritual practice. All spaces are alcohol-free, smoke-free, and substance-free, fostering an environment of clarity and wellbeing.

DIRECTIONS The nearest international airport is Lisbon (LIS), about 3 hours by car or bus. You can also fly into Porto (OPO), around 2.5 hours away. From either city, take a train or bus to Fundão or Covilhã, the closest towns to Ananda Kalyani. From there, we can help arrange a pickup or shared taxi to our retreat centre in Paúl, nestled in the Serra da Estrela mountains.
