Led by architect Victor Hugo, who completed his Master's degree on Gomes da Costa, the tour offers unique insights into the architect’s professional achievements as well as glimpses into his personal habits and way of life. Together, we will explore his most emblematic works and place them within the broader context of Portuguese modernism.

Designed for architecture lovers, this experience reveals the heritage, vision, and lasting impact of Gomes da Costa’s architecture on Faro’s urban fabric.

About your guide :

Victor Hugo Faustino holds a Master’s in Architecture from the University of Évora and a Bachelor’s in Landscape Architecture from the University of the Algarve. Over the past 12 years, he has worked on projects in Portugal, Kuwait, and Spain, focusing on sustainable design solutions. His acclaimed master’s thesis, “Manuel Gomes da Costa and Modern Architecture in Faro”, explored the architect’s life and work, shedding light on a key chapter of Algarve’s modernist heritage. Based in the Netherlands, Victor Hugo is a Senior Technical Architect at an urban planning and landscape architecture office in Rotterdam, contributing to projects across Germany, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands.
