KUNUN – An Intimate Kora & Poetry Concert with African Brunch

KUNUN is an intimate cultural experience where ancestral music, spoken poetry, and shared presence come together.

At the heart of the event is the Kora, a traditional West African harp-lute, performed live by Ebraima Mbye, whose music carries the memory, wisdom, and rhythm of generations. The experience is accompanied by a poetry recital in Cape Verdean Creole by Vera Furtado, offering a powerful reflection on identity, ancestry, and belonging.

The evening unfolds inside an African art gallery and concludes with an African-inspired brunch, featuring Cape Verdean sweet and savory delicacies.

This is not a conventional concert, but a moment of connection, listening, and cultural immersion.
