Στο πλαίσιο των εορτασμών για την Ημέρα της Πορτογαλίας, του ποιητή Καμόες και των Πορτογαλικών Κοινοτήτων, η Πρεσβεία της Πορτογαλίας στην Αθήνα έχει την χαρά να παρουσιάσει την εκδήλωση «Η Ελλάδα Τραγουδά Φάντο», μια βραδιά αφιερωμένη στο Fado — την πιο εμβληματική μουσική έκφραση της Πορτογαλίας, που έχει αναγνωριστεί από την UNESCO ως Άυλη Πολιτιστική Κληρονομιά της Ανθρωπότητας.Σε αυτή τη μοναδική συναυλία, τρεις ταλαντούχες Ελληνίδες καλλιτέχνιδες — η Εύα Θωμοπούλου, η Μιράντα Βερούλη και η Μαρία Βούλγαρη — ανεβαίνουν στη σκηνή για να τιμήσουν την ψυχή και τη “saudade” του πορτογαλικού φάντο, μια μουσική παράδοση που συνεχίζει να συγκινεί το κοινό σε όλο τον κόσμο.Με τις προσωσπικές τους ερμηνείες, αυτές οι γυναικείες φωνές θα ζωντανέψουν κλασικά κομμάτια του πορτογαλικού ρεπερτορίου, αποτίοντας ειδικό φόρο τιμής στον συνθέτη Carlos Paredes, στο πλαίσιο του εορτασμού της εκατονταετηρίδας από τη γέννησή του και αναδεικνύοντας την διαχρονικότητα και την οικουμενικότητα του πορτογαλικού πολιτισμού.Η συναυλία θα πραγματοποιηθεί στην Εθνική Πινακοθήκη – Μουσείο Αλέξανδρος Σούτσος, έναν χώρο με ιδιαίτερη πολιτιστική και καλλιτεχνική σημασία για την πόλη των Αθηνών, ενισχύοντας ακόμη περισσότερο τους δεσμούς φιλίας μεταξύ της Ελλάδας και της Πορτογαλίας.Αυτή η πρωτοβουλία της Πρεσβείας της Πορτογαλίας πραγματοποιείται με την υποστήριξη του Camões, I.P. και αποσκοπεί στην προώθηση του διαπολιτισμικού διαλόγου μέσω της μουσικής, δημιουργώντας γέφυρες μεταξύ δύο πολιτισμών με ισχυρές μεσογειακές παραδόσεις. As part of the celebrations for Portugal Day, the poet Camões and the Portuguese Communities, the Embassy of Portugal in Athens is pleased to present the event "Greece Sings Fado", an evening dedicated to Fado - the most emblematic musical expression of Portugal, which UNESCO has recognized as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.In this unique concert, three talented Greek artists—Eva Thomopoulou, Miranda Veroulis, and Maria Voulgari—take to the stage to honour the soul and "saudade" of Portuguese fado, a musical tradition that continues to move audiences worldwide. With their personified performances, these female voices will bring to life classics of the Portuguese repertoire, paying special tribute to the composer Carlos Paredes, as part of the celebration of the centenary of his birth and highlighting the timelessness and universality of Portuguese culture.The concert will take place at the National Gallery - Alexandros Soutsos Museum, a venue of great cultural and artistic importance for the city of Athens, further strengthening the bonds of friendship between Greece and Portugal.This initiative of the Embassy of Portugal is carried out with the support of Camões, I.P. and aims to promote intercultural dialogue through music, creating bridges between two cultures with strong Mediterranean traditions.
