Everyday Creative Joy

Everyday Creative Joy

Second Home LisboaLisboa, Lisboa
Thursday, Feb 19 from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm WET
Overview

Emmi Salonen, author of "The Creative Wellbeing Handbook", in conversation with Rita João and Elizabeth Olwen.

A new year can bring big intentions – but our day-to-day is made of smaller patterns. Designer and educator Emmi Salonen invites you to explore how everyday joy can refuel your creativity, inspired by her new book The Creative Wellbeing Handbook. Think practical tools, playful prompts, and space to remember what you enjoy about making things in the first place.

This event is for anyone who wants to feel lighter and more energised in their life – whether you’re a designer, writer, artist, entrepreneur, or simply trying to keep your spark alive alongside everything else you do. Together, we’ll explore Emmi’s Creative Ecosystem model and how it can help you bring more ease, colour and curiosity into your days.

Across a short visual talk, a panel conversation with Rita João and Elizabeth Olwen, and time to connect with others, you will:

  • Explore how the five Creative Ecosystem areas – Connection, Wonder, Pause, Movement and Joy – can support everyday creative energy,
  • Look at the patterns that shape our days – from surfaces and spaces to the tiny rituals that keep us going,
  • Share ways to notice and grow small moments of joy in your work and life,
  • Swap stories, ask questions, and leave with simple practices you can try the very next day.

Come to reconnect with your creativity, meet like-minded people, and start the year with a kinder, more joyful pace.

Copies of The Creative Wellbeing Handbook will be available to buy, and the evening will close with conversation, drinks and a chance to get your book signed.
