2-Day DJ Workshop for WomenThe DJ Workshop for Women is a 2-day hands-on workshop led by Palestinian DJ and producer Nour. The workshop invites participants to develop technical DJ skills, build confidence behind the decks, and connect with other women+ in a music industry that is often male-dominated.Day 1: DJ Basics &amp; Equipment April 18, 11:00 AM – 2:00 PMIntroduction to DJing, musical inspiration, and creative flow. Participants will learn about the role of a DJ, how to build a set, and the basics of musical storytelling.Topics include:<ul><li>Overview of DJ equipment (CDJs, mixers, controllers, software)</li><li>Basic booth setup</li><li>Understanding BPM and beatmatching</li><li>Cueing, EQ, and smooth transitions</li></ul>Participants will get hands-on practice with CDJs and mixers to start mixing tracks.Homework: Install Rekordbox, choose 8–10 tracks, and prepare a USB for the next session.Day 2: Mixing, Rekordbox &amp; DJ Identity April 19, 11:00 AM – 2:00 PMDeepen mixing skills and learn how to prepare music professionally using Rekordbox.Topics include:<ul><li>BPM, bars, and phrasing for clean mixes</li><li>Manual vs. sync beatmatching</li><li>EQ transitions, filters, and effects</li><li>Rekordbox essentials: organizing tracks, setting cue points, beat grids, and exporting playlists</li></ul>The workshop will also explore music curation, reading the crowd, and developing your DJ identity.
