Madeira is by far one of the most inspiring places you will ever have the chance to visit. If you love to explore exotic flavors, adore vibrant colors and aromatic scents, or simply appreciate fresh and healthy food, this is a retreat for you!

The island of eternal Spring has a mild climate and fertile soils where a rich variety of products is grown throughout the whole year. Island delights are countless, avocados, bananas, cherries, passion fruits, and grapes are plentiful. Madeiran cuisine is home to a huge variety of dishes from the land and the sea. From local fresh markets and taverns to fine dining restaurants, here you will find what you are searching for.

We will guide you through the most authentic cultural and culinary journey in Madeira, immersed in stunning nature and surrounded by the wonderful landscapes that only this pearl of the Atlantic can offer.

Spoiling your senses in this culinary retreat you support local producers across Madeira and contribute to the competence development in sustainable tourism.

Fruits and vegetables, dairy and bakery products, wine and rum, as well as the fish and fruits from the sea that can be found locally, will be sourced from food markets, cooperatives, and from farmers, fishermen, and winemakers directly. Sharing cooking and other skills with co-retreaters and at culinary workshops with a Chef from Madeira, you will enable the transfer of knowledge, exchange of experience, and broaden horizons.

Participating in the retreat you support and contribute to the development of learning programs, aiming to build resilience, creativity, and sustainability in the island's hospitality and travel sector, as well as local communities across Madeira.

We are members of the CET Platform Network, which gathers civil society organizations and experts from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Italy, Kosovo, Lithuania, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Poland, Portugal, Serbia, Slovenia, Sweden, and Ukraine. The network aims to provide opportunities for the creativity, innovation, and competence development of young Europeans.
At the Slovenian office, CET works with non-governmental organizations, social economy enterprises, cooperatives, communities, and groups of young people to develop impactful project ideas, public relations strategies, produce social and networking events, courses, debates, meet-ups, and other activities for their initiatives, both locally and overseas. CET advocates for the Youth and NGO sectors in the Ptuj region and promotes active participation. Currently active in Ptuj, Slovenia, and Madeira, Portugal.
CET Platform Italy is on a mission to improve the level of competencies of young people and youth workers and to foster intercultural learning, active citizenship, and social inclusion through non-formal education. CET empowers youngsters to shape the world they live and work in, enhancing creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship. Helping young people in their personal and professional growth to contribute to the sustainable development of European society. Currently active in Caserta, Italy, and Madeira, Portugal.
At CET Atlantic, we work together to build the cultural and travel sectors back better. Raising awareness about sustainable travel and its impact on local communities and the environment. Advocating for responsible tourism, culture, and NGO sector. Collaborating, prototyping, and innovating together with communities. Connecting locals and nomads to change, transform, and build the world back better.
