Ever wondered how you could expand your collage techniques into a larger format? Ever wanted to see your artistry exist on a building, in a public space?You are invited to join Collage Working Club in a very special collaboration with Jardims do Bombarda and invited artist Alexandre Makiolke (AKA Bisner)Using large format film posters, you will be guided in the art of collective decision making, pasting techniques and thinking outside of the box, to realise a public artwork in the newly inaugurated community workshop space within the cultural and community space of Jardims do Bombarda. In addition to promoting collaboration and discussion of ideas, participants will also experience the playful part of creation, with the objective of realising a single unified vision within the 3 hour workshop duration."Creating alone is our usual process. Together we can do something different, learn through each others processes, create something BIG!" - Bisner Session continues June 26th instead of our usual Scissor Sessions event.

About the Artist:Alexandre Makiolke, also known as <a href="https://www.instagram.com/bisner/" title="https://www.instagram.com/bisner/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Bisner</a>, is a Portuguese-Brazilian urban artist who currently resides in Lisbon.In 2011, he started developing large format collages as part of his urban art project. His compositions are developed through different processes, such as print, screen prints, stencil, spray, collage, use of labels and packaging, using basic shapes and lots of color.His inspiration comes from the past. Bisner dives into his memories of a childhood lived in the 1980s and goes to the trunk box to collect material for his artistic work. Old family photos, cartoon memories, comic book characters and several other references that appear as layers in his collages.Bisner has participated in notable projects and publications such as Plastik Comb Magazine Issue #1 (US 2020), COOLLAGE – A Closer Look Book (Netherlands 2022) and the Holliday Horizons advertising campaign for Coca Cola + Delta Airlines (US 2021). His works have also been on the covers of Brazilian magazines, such as Epoca, Globo Rural, Auto Esporte, among others.<a href="https://www.collageworkingclub.weebly.com" title="https://www.collageworkingclub.weebly.com" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Collage Working Club </a>(CWC) is a weekly open workspace for artists working in the medium of paper. Organised in the format of alternate ‘drop in’ sessions and workshops masterclasses, it will have both a regular facilitator whilst also involving the artist community in the sharing of knowledge and skills. Providing materials, education and connections is the primary aim of CWC, and it will do this through the interdisciplinary art of collage as both an art form and a tool for personal growth.​The group is founded by visual artist<a href="https://www.ninafraser.xyz" title="https://www.ninafraser.xyz" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"> Nina Fraser</a>, and occupies a physical space at <a href="https://largoresidencias.com/" title="https://largoresidencias.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Jardins do Bombarda // Largo Residencias</a>, a cultural and social project in Arroios, Lisbon.
