No final de março de 2017, uma conversa informal entre desconhecidas no Facebook deu origem ao «Mães à Obra», um grupo criado com o objetivo de congregar mulheres que procuravam desenvolver os seus próprios projetos numa lógica de conciliação família-trabalho. Rapidamente o grupo cresceu, impulsionado pela sua vitalidade e dinâmica internas, e o âmbito foi alargado no sentido de abarcar todas as mulheres, mães ou não.

O «Mulheres à Obra» rapidamente se afirmou enquanto plataforma de partilha e cooperação entre mulheres que, por necessidade ou opção, procuram alternativas profissionais para além da tradicional lógica do trabalho assalariado. Sendo aberto a todas aquelas que solicitam adesão, o grupo veio a congregar uma enorme variedade de mulheres em diferentes situações e com diversas competências. Longe da habitual retórica do empreendedorismo sensacionalista, inspirado em histórias de fortunas fabulosas e sucessos desmedidos, o «Mulheres à Obra» constituiu-se enquanto um grupo de mulheres reais para mulheres reais, de todas as idades e condições, com os seus sucessos e fracassos, com micro negócios ou grandes projetos, com ambições que podem passar por fazer aquilo de que se gosta, com sustentabilidade financeira, tendo autonomia e tempo para si próprias e para os seus.

O Portal Mulheres à Obra surge na sequência lógica do grupo «Mulheres à Obra». A partir das necessidades que foram sendo diagnosticadas no decurso do debate gerado diariamente pelo grupo, impôs-se a necessidade de criar uma plataforma com os recursos essenciais para a mulher empreendedora, apresentados de forma sistematizada, permitindo, assim, o fácil acesso por parte de quem deles tem necessidade. É uma plataforma aberta a toda a comunidade empreendedora, que dela pode usufruir e é convidada a produzir os seus próprios conteúdos. Temos ainda um programa de afiliação onde estarão incluídos serviços e produtos relevantes para tem, ou deseja constituir, um negócio. Dispomos também de uma oferta formativa variada em regime presencial e online.

Devido ao crescimento em quantidade e qualidade do grupo, foi também criada esta página dedicada exclusivamente às ações e eventos promovidos pelas Mulheres à Obra.
