Create Palestinian bridal clove necklaces together, followed by a film screening on this disappearing tradition.
You are warmly invited to join a collective workshop centered on the making of Palestinian bridal clove necklaces.
Together, we will handcraft clusters of cloves that will later become part of a large ceramic necklace featured in an exhibition installation opening at Hangar 25/6. Rooted in traditions of gathering through shared labour, storytelling, and song, the workshop offers a space for conversation, care, and collective making.
The evening will also include a special screening of a new film by Mirna Bamieh, created around the disappearing Palestinian tradition of bridal clove necklaces. Filmed in Palestine, the work follows women gathering to make these necklaces collectively, accompanied by a newly composed Mhaha song created especially for the project.
No prior experience is needed — all are welcome.
Doors open at 6:00 PM, with the workshop starting at 7:00 PM.
Arrive early and enjoy drinks and food at our restaurant before the event.
