What should I expect?

We will be hosting these running clubs on the first Sunday of each month. We will adjust as we go and based on your feedback. The first run club will be in Lisbon, where most of our community is based. If you want to have run clubs hosted in London or any other city, let us know at hello@tarwi.co

Question 2

I am not an experienced runner. Is this event for me?

Accepted Answer

Yes, absolutely! This is for all levels. We will got at a moderate pace. The goal is to meet new people, try something new, and have fun!

If you haven't run in a while (or ever), we have partnered with the app Runna to help you build your confidence. They offer running plans to help you prepare over the next three weeks. Download the app from your phone’s app store, and use the code GIFTED at checkout for two weeks free.

Question 4

How will it be on the day?

The meet-up will be in at Praça 25 de Abril (check the location on the map above) at the beginning of Prata Riverside Village. The start time is 9 a.m., so if possible, aim to arrive a little bit before! We will run along the river and then back. We have a route planned for 5 km (2.5 km each way).

What should I bring?

Please come dressed in running clothes, as we won't have changing rooms available.  We also don't have an official bag drop area, so come as light as possible. If that is impossible, we can save some items for you. We will have water on site and post-run smoothies to fuel you after the race.

What is the duration of the event?

5km should take roughly 30 minutes, but we will go at a manageable pace. Remember, the goal is to have fun, so if you want to run less, run less! You do you. We will have some time afterwards to refuel and connect (it is a meet-up, after all!), and expect the event to be finished around 11 am.
