Entre a Fonte Filipe e o Moinho do Gentil, espera-te um piquenique que celebra o melhor do Algarve: paisagem, tradição e sabores. Começamos com um percurso interpretativo leve pelo vale, guiado por quem conhece a história do lugar e da antiga azenha. Pelo caminho, descobrimos as práticas agrícolas, a importância da água e os ingredientes que marcaram a cozinha local.
À chegada ao moinho, a refeição é preparada no local, com receitas regionais e ingredientes “esquecidos”, explicados e partilhados em momentos de conversa e convívio. Sem pressa, como manda um bom piquenique. Há também tempo para pequenas dinâmicas de animação e para fotografar este pedaço de património junto à Ribeira das Mercês.

- Percurso interpretativo pelo vale e pela antiga azenha
- Piquenique completo (refeição e bebidas) baseado em receitas regionais preparadas no local

Between Fonte Filipe and the Moinho do Gentil, this picnic brings together landscape, tradition and taste. We start with an easy interpretive walk through the valley, led by someone who knows the place and the watermill’s history. Along the way we look at local farming practices, the role of water and the ingredients that shaped regional cuisine.
At the watermill, lunch is prepared on site, featuring regional recipes and “forgotten” ingredients, explained and shared in a relaxed, convivial atmosphere. There will also be light entertainment moments and time to photograph this heritage spot by the Ribeira das Mercês.
