ModuLar 01 | Creative Residency Performance

Over the course of one month, the dancers of the AZA Dance Program immersed themselves in exclusive creative processes, guided by six emerging Portuguese creators. Each work emerged from a distinct identity, a unique artistic language, and a shared challenge: to create, experiment, and share.

This performance marks the culmination of that journey.

ModuLar.1 is the result of a pioneering project developed by the AZA Dance Program in partnership with Moldo Studios, dedicated to promoting contemporary Portuguese creation. By bringing young performers closer to professional artistic practice and gathering different artists within a context of research and creation, the project transforms the artistic space into a place of encounter, dialogue, and exchange.

The outcome takes shape through five original choreographic works, developed during an intensive residency that brought together creators and performers around different processes, methodologies, and artistic visions.

This afternoon is dedicated to dance, performance, and contemporary creation.

At the end of the presentations, the gathering continues. The stage gives way to a more informal moment, with music, a bar, and an atmosphere designed to extend the connection between creators, dancers, and audience.
