On October 11th, from 10 PM onwards, Palácio do Grilo opens its doors to celebrate the closing of the 26th French Film Festival in Lisbon. Within neoclassical walls infused with 18th-century baroque influences, a magical night comes alive where cinema and music merge.
Under the artistic direction of Venga Venga, who transform the former hall of the Academy of Sciences into a vibrant dance floor, the party dives into French sex appeal, evoking cabarets and the disruptive aesthetics of the Nouvelle Vague, along with its influence on cinema, fashion, and culture.
A celebration of freedom, cultural fusion, and pure amour for French cinema.

Le 11 octobre, à partir de 22h, le Palácio do Grilo ouvre ses portes pour célébrer la clôture du 26e Festival du Cinéma Français à Lisbonne. Entre des murs néoclassiques imprégnés d’influences baroques du XVIIIe siècle, une nuit magique prend vie, où le cinéma et la musique se confondent.
Sous la direction artistique de Venga Venga, qui transforment l’ancienne salle de l’Académie des Sciences en une piste de danse vibrante, la fête plonge dans le sex-appeal français, évoquant les cabarets et l’esthétique disruptive de la Nouvelle Vague, ainsi que son influence sur le cinéma, la mode et la culture.

In October 2025, Gala Cricri will conclude its artistic residency at Palácio do Grilo. These are the project’s final parties — and the last chance to dance through the immortal halls of this palace.
Described by The New York Times as “notably, a magnificent nocturnal hangout,” Gala Cricri has transformed the timeless halls of Palácio do Grilo into an immersive dancefloor, where music and performance intertwine among 18th-century frescoes. Under the direction of Venga Venga (Ricardo Don and Denny Azevedo), the project has, since 2022, hosted iconic parties such as New Year’s Eve, Masquerade, and Vralloween, as well as events by major brands and collectives. In 2023, Madonna chose it as the stage for her birthday celebration.
