FRANK TURNER IN PORTUGAL FOR THE FIRST TIME
The musician has a new journey for 2019. Frank Turner’s debut in Portugal will be on the 8th and 9th of March in Lisbon (Music Box) and Porto (Hard Club). After his first ever world tour to promote the new record “Be More Kind”, released in May 2018 in collaboration between Xtra Mile Recordings and Universal, the singer/songwriter will perform two concerts in acoustic format one month after finishing his tour in London. The concerts will be opened with an exclusive set between We Bless This Mess and Ducking Punches (Nelson Graf Reis and Dan Allen) with some of their newest songs. Since 2005, Turner adds more than 2000 concerts across 45 countries, as well as a sold out gig at the iconic Wembley Arena in London. Born and raised in Hampshire, United Kingdom, the artist has been part of Reading Festival for 10 years, being headliner in 2013. Between shows around the world, he has founded a festival in London called Lost Evenings which happens once a year in Camden at The Roundhouse. The 2018’s edition was a sold out. Frank Turner is considered one of the most successful UK artists in the last decade with more than 1 million records sold around the world. The musician will reveal 14 years of career in an intimate environment creating bonds with all the Portuguese audience. Both dates count with Antena 3 (radio) support. The tickets are already available with the cost of 15€ for the two shows.

ABOUT
Francis Edward Turner (Frank Turner) was born on the 28th December 1981 in Hampshire, United Kingdom. In 2000, he has decided to dedicate his entire life making music. The starting point of his career was within the punk rock scene with his band Million Dead who released 2 records and toured all over Europe during five years. In 2005, several disagreements between members led to its end. At this stage, Frank has turned his path in the direction of folk and acoustic music building up a solo career. After a deal with Xtra Mile Recordings, he has released his first EP, “Campfire Punkrock” in 2006 and a full album during the next year called “Sleep is for the Week”. Since then and between miles and miles on the road, he released six more records, “Love & Ire Song” (2008), “Poetry of the Deed” (2009), “England Keep My Bones” (2011), “Tape Deck Hearth” (2013), “Positive Songs for Negative People” (2015) and “Be More Kind” (2018). Frank Turner is considered one of the most successful artists in the UK during the last decade with more than 1 million records sold plus more than 2000 shows either alone or with his band The Sleeping Souls. He also won two AIM (Association of Independent Music) prizes: “Hardest Working Artist” and “Best Independent Music Festival” due to his annual festival Lost Evenings in Camden Town in London. In 2012 he was invited to play at the Olympics Opening Ceremony. In 2018, the artist has been on his first ever world tour promoting his newest record “Be More King” with more than 100 shows announced around 4 continents.
