Forest Therapy: The Healing Power of Nature
Informações do evento
Descrição
In this talk, you will learn all about Shinrin-yoku, the evidence-based Japanese practice of forest “bathing”, which is becoming the latest trend in nature-based wellness. Forest bathing walks consist of a series of guided nature connection invitations which lead participants to slow down and have an immersive sensory experience. You’ll discover how science has proven the benefits of this practice and how it can effectively make you live a better stress-free life, become more productive and creative at work, have better sleep, and even improve your relationships and sexlife.
The evening will also involve practical sessions, experimenting with a few exercises that you’ll be able to bring home with you, to help you slow down, disconnect from technology, reduce stress and reconnect to your true self on a daily basis.
Pedro M. Trindade is a landscape architect and certified Forest Therapy Practitioner and Guide, trained by the Forest Therapy Institute and Instituto de Banhos de Floresta Portugal.
After the talk and workshop, you will have the opportunity to talk directly with Pedro and find out about the forest walks he runs for groups around the Lisbon area.
