Event held in English.
In the last few weeks, we’ve seen an unprecedented war fought both inland and in cyberspace. Groups like Anonymous have taken as much protagonism as weapons, on the anti-war campaign. Right before, cybersecurity was already making the news, as earlier this year, we witnessed relevant companies and their customers suffering from the actions of cyber hackers. In Portugal, we were particularly hit by this as a news outlet, and a big telco company were hacked, causing a significant impact on our general day-to-day activities.
For years, tech corporations have struggled to create space for white hat hackers with initiatives like bug bounty programs. But where to draw the line? And is there a need to? How can we protect freedom without letting go of our privacy? What are the best opportunities for startups to navigate in this (still) uncharted territory?

ABOUT ABOVE & BEYOND HANGOUTS
Above & Beyond Hangouts are a monthly hangout for those hacking the Portuguese entrepreneur ecosystem.
Happening every last Wednesday of the month, at Ferroviário, it will be an excellent opportunity to gather all level ecosystem players wanting to contribute to overcoming the community’s challenges.
Every year, in November, Lisbon is turned into the epicenter of the entrepreneurship community. We want to leverage that community and create a frequent space where everyone can discuss important topics for the development of the ecosystem.
