Join us for an afternoon art workshop with artist Joe Hoffecker, hosted by the Sovereign Art Foundation.

In this fun and creative session, children will explore the theme of shapes to make their own self-portraits. By cutting and arranging colourful paper into shapes that represent heads, eyes, noses, mouths, and ears, each participant will design their own unique face. They can then add unique details like hair, glasses, and clothing with crayons or markers. The activity encourages imagination, self-expression, and individuality through simple, playful materials.

About the ArtistJoe Hoffecker is an award-winning cartoonist and illustrator, specialising in ink, watercolour, and colored pencil. His work includes decades of political cartoons for business- and sports-related publications, as well as published pieces in newspapers, magazines, journals, books, and promotional materials. Participe numa oficina de arte com o artista Joe Hoffecker, organizada pela Sovereign Art Foundation (SAF).

Nesta sessão divertida e criativa, as crianças irão explorar o tema das formas para criar os seus próprios autorretratos. Ao cortar e organizar papel colorido em cabeças, olhos, nariz, boca e orelhas, cada participante poderá desenhar o seu próprio rosto. Depois, acrescentarão detalhes únicos como cabelo, óculos e roupas com lápis de cera ou marcadores. A atividade incentiva a imaginação, a autoexpressão e a individualidade através de materiais simples e lúdicos.
