About this event

What to expect:

The 4 Day Wellness Retreat in Porto Santo will focus on both mental and physical health. Through daily vinyasa flow yoga, meditation, and activities with the group, we'll channel inner calm, strength, and vitality. You will depart feeling mentally and physically rejuvenated.

You will also be time to explore the island or simply relax on the beach. Healthy, vegetarian/vegan meals will be provided and eaten family style at one large table.

Accommodations:

We will stay at a lovely villa on the beach with 6 rooms, a garden, ample space to reflect, and a large, shared kitchen and dining area. You may book either a shared double room with twin beds or a private single room. The space is simple, quiet, and relaxing. See photos in discussion.

Retreat Leaders:

Lindsay (event admin)

Lindsay is a 200 hr YA certified Vinyasa Flow yoga teacher. Lindsay is originally from Atlanta, Georgia, spent 8 years in New York City, moved to Amsterdam in 2019 and finally to Madeira. She currently teaches yoga in Ponta do Sol and online. Lindsay earned her certification in Goa, India and teaches yogis of all levels. She loves to teach a dynamic flow that can often be categorized as power yoga. She incorporates breath, balance, core, strength and pilates into her classes.

Lindsay is a passionate vegan and vegetarian chef. She loves creating healthy, tasty treats and uses food to heal, strengthen, and fuel the body. She will be preparing meals from a place of love and vitality during the retreat.

When she's not cooking or flowing, she loves hiking, trail running, and listening/making music.

Above all she values learning about others, caring for her community, and spreading laughter and joy to those she encounters.

Sabine

Sabine is a Vinyasa, Hatha and Prenatal yoga teacher as well as a professional dancer and choreographer.

Sabine believes the best teacher in life is ourselves and thus, it’s invaluable to obverse and expand our own awareness in order to transform that which we would like to.

Conscious movement has been Sabine’s life long path. Being a professional dancer from a young age and a yoga practitioner for 15 years, the connection between mind and body is essential for her - breath forming the bridge between these two.

Fascinated by the uniqueness of each individual and therefore the need of different approaches, Sabine offers different tools in the class so each person has the opportunity to connect to the aspect he/she requires.

Be it inner calm, an open body, a free mind, connecting to flow of energy or physical strength.
